Heerlen is located in the province of Limburg. This is the most southern and touristic part of The Netherlands. The capitol of Limburg is Maastricht the biggest city in this part of the country. Maastricht is 25 min. from Heerlen.
In the east, Heerlen is almost bordering the German city Aachen. Within the Heerlen-Maastricht-Aachen region there are many hotels, campings and hostels.
